Default Recommendations for Gas Range

I would like to replace my gas range. Does anyone have any good recommendations. Does anyone have a double oven? Do you like it?

Purchased a Whirlpool 6.0 cu. ft. Double Oven Gas Range with Center Oval Burner in Stainless Steel, Model# WGG745S0FS from Home Depot in May. We converted it to propane and have been pleased with it so far.

My recommendation is to not buy one with smooth top or ceramic top. They are tough to clean.

Do you really need a double oven? We had one, and the only times we used both ovens at the same time was at Thanksgiving.

Smile Single Oven Is Best

We replaced ours with a Samsung 5.8cu ft gas range with griddle and true convection oven - love it. No, I had a double oven and a) hardly ever used both and b) even the large one was too small for some things. Like the single much better, but that's "just me"!

Love my Viking. But it depends on how much cooking you do. I chose not to have a double oven, Just didnt work with the baking I do

I had good luck at Best Buy for appliances. Very efficient and on time for delivery. We have Maytag. I had bad luck at both Lowe's and Home depot. I bought a range from Home Depot. It was a GE. The delivery drivers stood me up 4 times and never did deliver my range. Lowe's didn't seem to have experts to talk to before I bought it. This was at the new Lowe's in Wildwood. They didn't seem to have been trained. Best Buy sales people were very knowledgeable and very fast delivery. They honored our Lowe's military discount when I showed him my husband's Lowe's military discount card. I also heard they match everyone else's prices if you can show them an ad.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my double oven. I often use the small one for small things and larger when baking two trays of cookies. Wouldn't get back! Great during the holidays! We just replaced our Jenn Air with Kitchen Aid. Hoping it works as well!

In Michigan we had the best of both worlds--a Jenn Aire stove that was gas cooktop (5 burners with a super burner and one that could be turned to a bare simmer) and double self-clearning electric ovens. The top oven was drawer size and would preheat in five minutes. We used it all. the. time. It was fabulous for pizza, cakes, casseroles--just about anything that wasn't a roast. On one of the racks on the bottom oven, you could remove half, making it possible to bake a turkey and a casserole at the same time.

I always meant to replace the electric oven in our designer with same configuration but all electric, since we had no gas. We opted for the French door fridge instead, but I missed that double oven.
