Default WOW! What a storm today!!!

The rain and lightning was incredible in St. James; other than with Irma, it was the most intense rain I've ever seen come down.

A bolt hit the #4 fairway of Southern Star behind the house as we were watching the storm.

That's amazing as we heard it down in Fenney but had only a few drops of rain.

We had our new cart out, and I saw the rear canopy actually be forced completely open from the wind, needless to say the entire interior was wet, even though the sides were completely closed...

We got an inch and a half of rain in Santiago. There was a really close lighting strike. We saw the flash and boom at the same time!

The rain on Sunday evening was pouring over the ends of our gutters like a waterfall so I cleaned the leaves out of them yesterday morning.

Had I not, yesterday's rain would have created a Niagara of the South.

Also quite a storm yesterday late afternoon. Lightning and three inches of rain in a very short period. And it looks like rain likely for the next few days.

Hillsborough, near Evans Prairie. Hail and 2.57 inches of rain. There is a wall in the water, dividing our patch of water from the main prairie ~ it is underwater. The pond hasn't been this full since Irma.

That was the worse storm I've seen since there was one in August 2011 right after we moved here. It was a Friday night and I was watching a preseason football game and Directv went out. I couldn't get anything even with backup channels, I put on weather website and a yellow/red cell was right over TV and stayed there and wasn't moving. We had 5" of rain in 2 hours.

The next morning I was going to play Sand Hill Exec for the first time. When we got there, the only things visible was the tees and greens and everything else was water. I asked my neighbor, is any of this real water holes. They let us tee off, but when we finished they said you're the last ones. They closed the course until Tuesday.

I’ve been sort of hoping for hail. Our roof is 19 years old.

Depending on how you’re fine print in policy reads you may not be so hopeful?
