Although partially true, (some cut and paste of comments by PM and others) thought the overall points made were well taken and wish we had some people that would take a similar stand. The basic thread was directed at ANYONE who comes to Australia. iF YOU DON'T LIKE THE LAWS AND CONSTITUTION OF AUSTRALIA, GO WHERE YOU DO LIKE THEM. DON'T EXPECT AUSTRALIANS TO ADAPT TO YOU! LEARN THE LANGUAGE!, FOLLOW THE LAWS, ONE LAW...AUSTRALIAN LAW! 'nuff said.

My ex-wife works for the Post Office. She had (might still have but she admits it's hard in that environment) just about the best work ethic I'd ever seen.

In order to pass the test to become a Postal Worker (as opposed to a temp or contractor), you have to know english.

So why, my ex-wife asks, are employee notice put up also in Spanish?

Just another case of passing a law or a rule and failing to enforce it. I seem to recall you had to know English in order to stay here legally.
