Default Ammenities fees

I'm new to the Villages.
Can someone tell me how the ammenity fee is paid? Are we automatically billed every month?
Thanks, Betsy

Our monthly amenity fee comes each month as a separate line item on my water/sewer bill. The bill is from the Village Center Service Area. It is one bill mind you, just broken down on the water/sewer bill. We have a drop box at our mailbox area where we can drop the payment or it can be mailed to the Villages Center Service Area.

You can pay with a check or have it automatically deducted from your checking account. If this is something you'd like to do, call the telephone number on your utility bill and ask how to set it up. I did it so long ago it might be a bit different now. You'll still get a paper copy of your bill so you'll be able to see just how much irrigation and potable water you've used.

Welcome!

Smile Thanks so much

We haven't received our utility bill yet since we've been here only about 3-4 weeks.
Thanks for the helpful answers!

I believe the billing date varies by the number of days in a month but is usually six or seven days prior to the last day of the month. So you should see your bill in the mail soon.

Typically you get one bill a month from the Community Development District covering your area (VCCDD or Village Center Community Development District) for me (north of 466). It also has the servicing company - in my case LSSA which stands for Little Sumter Service Area. The bill includes water, sewer, trash and amenities - all as separate line items but one grand total. Pay as you would any other bill - check, online, or they even have drop boxes (no postage stamp required) at most neighborhood postal stations.

On mine, it tells me the date when the amenity fee will be adjusted (it is adjusted annually). Trash is a one line item. Water and Sewer are multiple line items as there are different rates as usage increases and it shows gallons at each rate (i.e. BASE Water Usage at one rate, next 1500 gallons at another, etc.). Sewer is similar and (I think) based somehow, I do not understand how, on water usage - the theory being water used relates directly to sewerage out.

South of 466 they use recycled water for sprinkler systems and I am not sure how this shows up on bills as I live north of 466 and my sprinklers use regular "house" water.

I just looked. My last bill came last week. It was dated 6/23/2010 with a due date of 7/14/2010.

The bill usually arrives by mail during the last week of the month.

We closed in the middle of August and there was a partial month amenities fee included at closing.

We have not seen a bill for September yet.

Since we told The Villages to send all bills to our home in Georgia I'm wondering when the bill is usually sent.

I'll be a lot less worried once I get the first one here.

Welcome to The Villages and to the time of your life. Your amenities bill is line itemed along with your water use, irrigation use and trash pick/up which is twice a week. Quite convenient. The bill is from VCDD and can be mailed, dropped off at an office on 466 near one of the Citizens Banks or deposited in one of the VCDD boxes at any of the swimming pools.
