Default TV Dog Parks

We are closing on our new villa on the 30th and were wondering if the dog parks are closed. Does anyone know for sure?

Dog parks are closed. You will find this website to be very informative.

If you're in the Brownwood area, I believe the Wildwood Dog Park is open. It's just west of Powell Rd just north of where the Citizens Processing center is under construction, or a 1/2 mile south of 466A going south turn right onto Huey St and it will be on your left.

The dog park in Wildwood is mostly dirt, due to all the shade trees. So if you have a long-haired dog, bring a brush with you. It's sand/dirt and if dry will brush off easily.

The park isn't very big, but there are benches under the trees, and it's quite pleasant. My problem was our golden thought he was back on the Michigan dog beach and started digging like crazy. I should have brought a shovel!

Also, Bark Central dog park in Inverness is about a half hour from the intersection of 44 & 301. There is a fee. Both sections have an artificial pond, plus there are indoor tubs for bathing the dog, and an outdoor hose if you don't want to pay for the indoor tub. If you don't have towels and shampoo, there's a fee for that.

And a mile up the road (CR 101) from the intersection of 466 and Belvedere is Doggy Doo Run Run, also a fee but a very large park with benches and shade. Bark park has a web site and seems to be open. I'm sure someone on the forum knows if DDRR is open. I know their daycare facility is.

Dog Park UPDATE: 1) Wildwood Dog Park closed a few days after TV DP's closed; it remains closed, 2) Bark Central in Inverness is $10/1st dog, $5/Dog for add'l, must have current shot record, for regular users they have a monthly and yearly membership you can check out, 3) Lake Okahumpka on Rt. 44 1/2 mi E. of BV Blvd. has extensive walking trails you can take dogs on, and in the back area a fairly small fenced "park" area - same area for all size dogs, 4) Doggy-Do-Run is also a membership facility and from what folks have said, they are only open now for "current" members - but I can't 100% confirm that.

Good luck!! Hopefully with TV re-opening plan kicking off on May 4th, we'll see the DP's opening again before too long, maybe before Memorial Day??
