Thank you, that name sounds familiar so I bet that’s it.

Ligustrum was going to be my guess. They’re very prone to fungal disease.
Yes, please post a closeup of the front and back of an affected leaf.

Don't know the name I have same bush around 20 of them 10 form a barrier that blocks line of sight from my lanai to St Charles
Same for my birdcage..Mine like yours were turning yellowish limited new growth Fighting to get them to grow over a 6 year period many a time thought of pulling them up
Abut 2 years ago did some research and started feeding them Milorganite an organic product no synthetics almost impossible to over feed with this product low nitrogen around 6% and about 4% iron
Just sprinkle around base of the bush generously
Noticed vast improvement in less than 6 months green healthy ..Now I have to prune every 4 months during growing season
I put this stuff every wheres Lawn every 6 weeks Flowers 2 times a year..Very affordable Lowes Walmart

Another thing is to check where irrigation water is hitting them. Aim it low toward the base of the shrub. When water continually hits leaves, the environment becomes friendly to fungus.

Ligustrum hasa smooth edge and these leafs look to be serrated.

You may be correct but they don’t look serrated to me. Upthread, I asked OP to post closeups of both sides of a leaf. Haven’t seen that yet.

Seems to be the bush of choice for new homes, different landscaping companies say can’t fix it, let them die, and replace. We have 25 of them

Another contact for info would be Master gardener, do a search on this site, or Google Florida Master Gardener.

There is also a new disease that is affecting many "woody" type bushes. The University of FL is researching, but no cure at this time. My neighbor had 3 die this spring.
