I'd bet you would care if one of those "inmates" was a family member. Everyone there is SOMEONE's family member.

Since the prison is not allowing visitors , where do you think the virus came from? It couldn’t be the staff or could it?

It’d probably depend on when visitation ended.

You will suddenly care when one of those infected staff members are out and about in the county and neither they nor you are wearing masks.

Just to verify your comment: If your brother or father or even son was in prison and got sick because he was exposed to Covid and could even die from it you wouldn't care because he "did the crime" (whatever it might have been) ? You wouldn't care?

Cool story bro' !

It shows that staff in prisons can’t take care of their charges any better than nursing homes can

I think caring about inmates is further down their list for some people than it is for others. Now we're told that the US has been invaded by murder hornets and a single hornet is capable of killing an entire hive in a few hours. Bee's are responsible for about 2/3 of our food supply. So survival for free humans is a bit tricky at the moment. If you've got yourself put in prison and your my son then I feel bad for you. For those that are not related to me, even less.

As far as infected personnel is concerned. Protect yourself at all times, you can't count on other people to do the right thing. Wear a mask etc and assume everyone has the virus in public. Wash everything that bring into your home with soap as if it has the virus on it.

Whether model citizens or not, they are under our charge and should be treated like human beings. If the virus spread can be controlled, the staff is also safer.
