Just heard about this device which is used with a Netflix subscription. Wondered if anyone was using it and if it really as easy as the site describes? Also how good is the picture quality? Sheryl

Hadn't seen this before. Have other devices to watch Netflix. Maybe this is good if you don't have an internet accessible tv or blue-ray player.

I had one, but bought a Sony Blu-Ray player which does a lot more than the Roku for not much more money, so I returned it. It worked fine, but was limited as to what it would do. The Sony connects to about 25 online services.
The picture on mine was good. Netflix adjusts picture quality according to internet speed. If you get the highest Comcast or DSL internet, it will have a very good picture. I get some stuff in 720p on my Sony player, and I think the Roku does, also. I paid $100 for the Roku. I paid $149 for the Sony player. For $49 extra I got much more connectivity plus I can watch Blu-Ray dvd's.

I bought one when it was 100.00 and used for 6 months and thought it was well worth the money, we cancelled the Netflix service but only for the summer months. I understand it is now 69.00. We have Comcast hi speed internet without problem picture issues, it was very easy to hook up and install. I have a newer TV that has HDMI connections, 1 cable to the TV and the power and you just follow the prompts on the screen. We enjoy "keeping up appearances" with Hyacinth Bucket and watched every show on Netflix, over 40 of them. I would recommend the Roku device.

I bought Roku about 6 months ago b/c I am an avid movie fan. You can sign up for the lowest Netflix plan and watch movies instantly on your TV. I can always find a movie and don't have to worry about returning it. Definitely worth the money.

I'll check out Sony first before I make a decision.
