Default Driveway entertainment

We recently had Kurt Frohlich to play a driveway concert for us. Kurt is the lead singer and rhythm guitarist for the LA Guns and lead singer and guitarist for The Hooligans, in my opinion one of the best bands to ever play on the squares. They have a new song about TV called The Village. He is also the head nerd for the Spazmatics, one of the most entertaining bands to play on the squares. He is one of the nicest gentleman you would ever meet. He was very professional and accommodating. He played a two hour show with a great mix of rock and roll from the 60's to 90's. He is available now for booking at kirdance@gmail.com.

Default Driveway Entertainment

Is there a limit on how many people you can have at these driveway concerts?

Does anyone know if there are some sort of rules for live entertainment on your driveway or street? Is permission needed? I know someone who had one and some neighbors on another street called in a complaint. Our street is ready for some entertainment.

Quite the stretch to say he is the lead singer and guitarist for LA Guns. He joined in 2019 way after the bands' nucleus demise. This was a great band starting from the early 80's and had many big selling albums internationally. Their greatest successes were from the late 80's and 90's. This guy could never fill the very large shoes of Tracii Guns, Steve Riley and Phil Lewis (none of which are still with the band), who were the most prominent members of LA Guns. All of that said, I'm sure he's a fair talent and had a nice show in the "Driveway".

I don't think we really need a party pooper with what is going on as far as entertainment in TV and who are you to say that he is a "fair" talent????

Calm down. I was just trying to bring some perspective to the post. Tracii Guns would certainly never do a driveway gig. Just saying. PERSPECTIVE

Officially, since Florida is still in "Phase 2" of reopening. State limit (unless it changed recently) is technically max groups of 50 which is obviously "non-enforceable".

The order also encourages non-enforceable, “responsible individual activity,” including:
  • Not gathering in groups of more than 50 people.

Our village hasn't had any driveway concerts. We are having a pandemic in the central part of The Villages. Gatherings are discouraged.

Great idea! I’m going to look into this. I would love to have a live band do driveway entertainment at my house. I’ll open my front windows and have a crazy dance party with my husband inside in my underwear. Y’all can do whatever you want outside!

Even though I live where there is very little Covid at this point I have no desire for gatherings, even while 6 feet apart, until we have a proper vaccine that is thoroughly proven to work, or effective treatments. But glad you found it enjoyable. Hopefully all are safe.
