Default Wind speed Sunday??

We were playing golf in what I believe was the windiest day I've every played. Does anyone know what the wind speed was yesterday in The Villages?

Since no one even came close to what the wind speed was....it was between 8/9mph and 20mph...I carry a wind speed indicator(anemometer). Those readings were taken at Okeechobee...it will vary a bit depending on your location.

I was able to retrieve the history on the site and it showed 16 MPH for Sunday. We were playing Bonita Springs and the flag poles were arching and the golf cart shaking. Definitely more than 16 mph.

It was fast. For those of you that don't understand meteorology, wind is caused by the air moving.

Yep, I see the same problem. I think some are shielded and not too accurate? But, They are the official sites.

I hit balls at the Lady Lake Golf Range on Rolling Acres Sunday. The wind was blowing but not enough to bend flagsticks or make carts shake. I used the opportunity to practice hitting low shots with less spin.

Amelia is also one of the highest elevations in TV. Number 2 is the worst!

I played Bonifay on Sunday and the wind was blowing pretty good, but not even close to the worst I’ve seen here.
