Hello Fellow Villagers,

I know there are lots of golfers here in the Villages. I am shopping for used golf clubs and I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for finding a good used mens right hand starter set.

I would watch the classifieds here and look for a set. You can get an excellent beginners set for a great price.

Why not just go to Walmart or Amazon and buy a new starter set for less than $100? If you do buy a used set, make sure that it is not so old that it doesn't have the latest technology in terms of weight and geometry of the clubs.

There is 2 dealers at the Marion Market with hundreds of clubs and sets. Prices are reasonable. Classified on this site, Nextdoor, and Craigslist (Ocala) are good. Lots of villagers selling on Craigslist.

Palmer has used clubs I believe on Thursdays. Not sure if they still do?

Edwin Watts has used clubs. If you want something decent, stay away from pre packaged box sets like you'd get at Dick's Sporting Goods or on the internet and go for a good quality used set.

Golf Central @ Brownwood is good.


Classified Adv on ToTV is good at times.


Agree with the other poster.......beginner sets are very reasonable.
