I can check into the airport for a flight or a sporting event using an app on my my phone. When will The Villages get on the ball and allow this technology to be used for Rec centers and golf?

I am OK if they make digital an option, but please don't make it mandatory and replace being able to show an ID. I for one do not like being forced to use my phone for everything, and have it full of Apps that track everything I do. I would much rather just show my ID, the good old fashion way. Besides, its much easier to carry my ID in my money clip, which is always with me, then to always have to bring my phone wherever I go.

As soon as they get rid of the gate cards and auto open the gates when you approach then they intend on studying digital technology for a few years.

Much of the Villages (or maybe Villagers) seem to shun technology. Paper and Pencil seem to be the norm.

We need to move to 21st century. Technology is efficiency. Ok with old ways as optional but don’t force me to be ancient and archaich in everyday life.

You need to be present when you check in for golf to certify that you and your ID are the person who has that tee time. If they allow you to digitally check in, then what stops people from not showing up and therefore a slot might be taken when someone else can use that slot? Also there would be no cancellation points for people just not showing up.

I can do digital if required, but when travelling, I like paper, pasports and ID.
Batteries can run down, cells can malfunction, but good old paper never lets you down!

Because the ones still living in the 1900s dont know updated technology and someone would still have to be there to do it for them
