Angry Comcast raised rates again!!

Has anyone opened their new bill and saw that the equipment rentals, taxes and fees have gone up on Comcast? It is so frustrating to have a contract for two years and still your bill keeps going up.
We live in a area where we don't have many options.

We dumped Comcast a couple of years ago and it was one of the best things I've done.

We went to youtube.tv because it had all the channels we liked , plus ESPN and HD with no extra charge.

Nope...still about the same as before. Go into their office. They offer different deals.

I don't think equipment rental charges can increase during the 2 year agreement.

We got a notice our Comcast bill is going up this month. Probably about $10 to about $255. We need to think of other options soon.

The cost of their service is a contract rate but not the BS fees and box rentals. I told them I'm going back to Spectrum when my contract is over 4 months from now. It's a shame as I do like Comcast and never had any problems with their service, I have the full TV package, land line, and internet.

Default A joke

I got an email from comcast telling me I was getting a $10 one time rebate on my next bill. They had recovered fees from sports broadcasting that they had been charged during the pandemic lock down. Since sports stopped they sought to get back some of that money. When I got my bill it was only about $3 lower. The increase rental of the cable box and fees and taxes ate up the remainder. What a joke.

I did get a raise in rates Jan 1st but since they save me over $1000.00 a year on cell phone service over the big 3 I am not changing my service.

I’m out, for only a few channels that I watch it is not worth it. Does anyone have suggestions on alternatives. I did buy firebox but have not hooked it up yet.

Maybe over the air is a better option? If you haven't watched TV via an antenna in the last 5 years you don't know what you are missing. One of the few free things for the government. DTV Reception Maps | Federal Communications Commission and see if you are in range and what channel. We live in Charlotte and get 60 channels from Orlando stations.
