You can go two routes, RX or OTC stuff.

RX ask your Doc for Metronidazole Topical gel at 0.75%. You can also go the OTC route and buy Prosacea gel which is available on Amazon and at most drug stores.

My rosacea didn't respond at all to Metronidazole (which is very expensive under my Medicare), but a daily low-dose antibiotic works really well. Since using it, I have not had any outbreaks. But it requires a prescription.

I have it and found that Soolantra (an RX from a dermatologist helps)....but the main ingredient is ivermectin (yes "THAT" product) which you can get in "horse paste" much cheaper. Asaeliac (sp) Acid is another one that works but is also an RX. The metrogel didn't work long term for me.

I’ve tried doxycycline but that is not a long term cure. I’ve seen a few products from Aesthetic Skin Solutions of The Villages that are not your typical over the counter pharmacy products. Has anyone used these?

Take this for what you feel it's worth but diluted cider vinegar does help. It's cheap, won't hurt, give it a try.

Never had it till I got here and was diagnosed recently. Dermatologist put me on an antibiotic and also told me to wash my face with baby shampoo instead of anything else. Seems to have cleared it up for now

you must shield your affected areas with high # sunblock despite what rxs you choose.
Also drs have been recommending an extra tinted driver or passenger window.
Went to a laser institute near ardmore pa. For treatment of nose blood vessels. Knock on wood been fine ever since

Another thing.....I found that "systems" didn't work but made the condition worse. See a dermatologist rather than a "consultant" who sells expensive products that you will end up pitching. Rosacea can come any time in life. Mine showed up in middle age. It was easily managed for a few years with antibiotics (you don't want to be on long-term) and metrogel. Eventually I needed something different. My rosacea kicked in in "over-drive" about 3 yrs ago. I alternate between the "horse paste" I mentioned above and the azeliac acid. Horse paste can be ordered online or go to a farm store. It's harder to get because people are scooping it up for the ivermectin (covid). I'm not sure that's the way to go for the plague but that's another story. Hope you find something for your rosacea as it can become painful.

See a dermatologist. Ask to be put on Doxycycline 40 mg (two 20 mg tablets) and Metronidazole 0.75% gel. If your health care company doesn't cover the Doxy tablets, try GOOD RX. Those two meds should get it under control. Works for me.

Have you ever tried L’Bri products? These products are aloe based without water added. I’ve been using the products since last June and love them.

Doxycycline (100 mg, once a day) isn’t a cure, but it has held mine at bay by itself for over twenty years. It’s by prescription only.

Actually use Doxy 100mg at times. $55/ 30 capsules
