I can't believe how long they are taking to build the store. Had it been The Villages doing it we'd have been shopping there for weeks already.

Correct, but at what price. Have never seen such poor building quality anywhere else.

So on my way to the commissary, I stopped at a BJ’s, ( 3rd visit) shopping list in hand. Scanned every item, that BJ’s had, 8 not available. Comparing cost and availability with Costco, Sams. Can’t use commissary because price will beat all 3 stores. Costco had all but 1 item, and Sam’s 3 not available.

Costco prices were the lowest, Sams $11.17 higher, comparing what BJ’s have available, $14.84 higher than Sams. While I found the deli interesting, prices were much higher than regular grocery. Unless there is items I need that I can’t get anywhere else not worth $, and another card in my console.

I know there are big BJ’s fans, but what do you buy, that you couldn’t get for same price or less elsewhere

Poland Springs Water. Golf Cart accessibility. I like it. Better than riding an hour for Costco. Never again.

Like I wrote somewhere here before.
Math 101

Buy that 1 year 25% off membership now and the store doesn't open
for 7 months, your buying only a 5 month membership.

Your welcome

Check the other posts. The end day of the 1st year is 12 months from the opening of the store. If you purchase your membership now it is good for more than 12 months and be used at other stores.

Looks like a bargain. Math 101.

I believe, sir, you are mistaken. My understanding is your membership doesn't start unti the store opens. That what my membership agreement says.

We have majority of our items arrive at our front door free ship from Costco, no cart needed. In a few years I expect 80% of products will no longer be bought in brick and mortar.

We have to be in Costco area every 5 weeks, and Gainesville (TJ’s) every 4 weeks. Drive an hour either way not a big deal for us. BJ’s would be an hour in our cart, so frozen stuff would have to be eaten half way home ice cream comes to mind.

But if you have to drive to Costco, are you saving any money considering cost of gas and time???

Gas at Costco is typically $0.40 cheaper…. More than covers the cost of the trip.
