Default Alternative, worldwide, news sources

I do not watch or listen to any USA network news....too biased and always party agenda oriented.

I prefer to read non televised coverage from different parts of the world in anticipation the result would be a more balanced result.

For example, one I read is The Japan Times.

What other non USA sources do some of you use?

We no longer watch cable news, or TV news in any form. I turn once or twice a day to Al Jazeera which is an excellent worldwide news source. I also watch BBC for their news information. Right now I am finding it very difficult to watch any of the Russian invasion, it actually horrifies me to see what the Ukrainians are having to live through.

Al Jazeera and BBC are very good sources in my opinion, seldom fail my fact checking and when they do, it is rare that they don't self correct it within days.

However, I do spot check Fox News, OAN, and Newsmax at least a few times a week. The same with NPR, PBS, and MSNBC.

I have Xfinity and I've searched for Al Jazeera but can't find it. What channel # is it on Xfinity?

It's not a TV station. It's a newspaper and is available in print and online.

Agree with most of the posters regarding this topic. American "news" sources are for the most part far too politically biased to be considered reliable. For world news I like to go to sources close to the topic: Just about all capitals and major cities of countries have English-language versions of their newspapers. For Southeast Asia I go to the Bangkok Post or The Nation. Japan and the far east is covered well by Yomiuri Shimbun (Japan News in English). Al-Jazeera is good. The Jerusalem Post offers good in-depth coverage for that part of the world. I've found also that many foreign sources cover stories from America far more comprehensively than our own sources do.

The comedy version of the news sometimes is really funny to watch.

BBC.com, the guardian, India times (they explain in more details), daily wire, daily mail (they seem to exaggerate a bit).

It can be found through Roku. It is not a separate channel Roku offers, as is as Netflix. I found it by tuning in to the "Roku Channel" and selecting the "News" Category.
