Default Yikes! Big gator at my front door this morning

My doorbell camera caught this big gator wandering to my front door this morning around 545am. The location is in Marsh Bend adjacent to Hog Eye Preserve. Good thing I was not going out for the paper in my slippers.

Might have been looking for a path to the water.

It looked like she thought something smelled good on your wall. They are "on the prowl" this time of year. I wouldn't count on it, but I expect if you opened the door, it would have panicked and leaped away then dashed down the street. Best to just leave them alone - they don't want to eat you, you are too big and require way too much chewing. Birds and turtles and very small dogs are much easier to digest...

Yours looks bigger, but mine made himself comfortable and stayed a while.

Looks like he saw the no soliciting sign at your door and turned around and left.

we had a six footer hiding in the "Boston Ferns" in the front beds...once I found out they liked those ferns, they were gone

I must have 'goosed' him with the weed wacker, as he came barreling across the front walk in a hurry inches from me, while I was doing a little yard work...

the wife was behind me yelling, "pocket book, I hosie, pocket book!" lol
