What is the best way to contact a human being from Centurylink? I have 3 different phone numbers and speaking with a human being is impossible. I have an issue and need to speak with someone.

I put "contact a human being from Centurylink" in Google and got a number of possible contact numbers. I'm pretty certain you'll still have to go through the gut-wrenching process of "pick from the following menu" but one of might actually get you where you want to go. What seems the best of breed is CenturyLink Phone Number | Call Now & Shortcut to Rep, but it says the current wait is 44 minutes. Ugh! But scrolling down it does have a text chat option; those I've found to be pretty good.

Good luck

I actually got through to a human the other day at 800-244-1111. When the computer asked why, I said "disconnect service" and it went right through.

Careful people pulling Phone #'s from Google.
Many times their dead end numbers looking for your information.

Select the option that asks if you want to cancel. You will get someone Pronto Prente. From there you can adjust the conversation anyway you like. It worked like a charm for me. Good Luck.

I would just go to the store/office, and talk to them in person. Right on 441. You might have better luck with a resolution...even canceling!

All I can say is “good luck with that!” When I was trying to get internet service reconnected on our rental house (after their error in disconnecting it), I spent around 8 hours total on the phone trying to get it straightened out. I was placed on hold more times than I can count. Every time I called, I was asked for my phone number in case of a disconnection so they could call back. “Disconnection” must be their code word of getting out of a problem they don’t know how to manage. My line was disconnected multiple times and no one EVER called me back. On one call, I asked to speak to a supervisor and of course I was put on hold for this also………supervisor never came on the line and never returned my call. On one call in the late afternoon, I finally reached someone who seemed to know what he was talking about and set me up for service to be reconnected the next day. Next day comes, still no internet service. After multiple calls again, I was set up for “new service” to begin 5 days later!

Guess what? They lost my business. The next day, I went to T-Mobile and got a Gateway tower for their 5G internet service (super easy to set up) & promptly cancelled my Century Link service request for 5 days later. I also cancelled our Century Link internet service with them at our current home and got another T-Mobile tower.

I highly recommend staying away from Century Link due to their extremely poor customer service. Being able to talk to someone doesn’t always mean good customer service!

Ah!. The curse of the Third Millennium. And even worse is when you DO eventually (assuming you do) get to someone with a heartbeat, your call has routed to downtown BFE and the person on the other end has an accent so thick you can cut it with a knife.

One thing that has worked for me. If the robot starts down that interminable "options" list, just say "customer service". It may take a time or two, increasing the volume of your voice each time. I've found that blaring "CUSTOMER BLEEPING SERVICE!!!" into the phone after the third or fourth time can bring the result you want. Or they just hang up on you.

I can’t comment on other peoples problems with century link but I’ve had them in my last 3 homes , possibly 4 , I can’t say anything bad about them , contacting them was easy , they showed up at each home promptly ,and I’m not a heavy user because I’m out a lot but the only outages have been a couple of time when I got robot call telling me they would be down for couple of hours, I’m paying $45 and it hasn’t changed

Cause you have the basic service. IMO the white round modem has problems. Had 4 replaced in little over year, I think it overheats and burns out. They replaced it with black rectangle one, so far no problems. Every time had to jump through hoops for hour or more on phone talking to who knows who in what country.

Where on 441? Sure you’re. Or talking about Comcast xfinity?
