Default Future Cart Path to Kohls 441?

I do not drive a car, and currently use my golf cart From Buttonwooed to Morse to Rio Grande, then access the parking lot at Target. I park the cart and walk across Rolling Acres Rd for shopping excoursions to stores the "other" side of the Target, Pier One mall. Does anyone know if a future cart path will be established utilizing Rolling Acres and 466? Just a thought as TV folks in charge of such development seem to have covered just about everything else we might enjoy.

Doubt there will ever be a cart path for non street legal carts since Kohl's, Best Buy, etc. aren't on Villages property.

Only way would be if the developer of the shopping center would put in a bridge across the road.

Makes no sense that a small child on a bike with training wheels can cross from Pier 1 to the Best Buy/Kohl's plaza but an adult in a golf cart can't.

Default Don't buy can't

I just don't buy the "can't", or "never will happen" sort of thing. I believe that enough people wanting the same thing (us) putting enough pressure on the people apparently in control (in this case the town of Lady Lake) and supported by someone very powerful (The Villages) can get anything reasonable done or changed. It may not happen overnight and certainly won't happen if we give up. Wasn't it back in early 2007 right here in The Villages that several hundred good folks got together at Buffalo Ridge and spelled out Kohls with their golf carts??? There are lots of businesses in that strip from Five-Guys to Kohls that depend on Villager's to stay in business. Let's figure out a way to let them know how much better business would be if we could get there on our golf carts!

I would also love a tunnel or bridge across Rolling Acres, but in the meantime . . . Shrandell, where exactly do you cross on foot? Is it easier right at the intersection by the light or directly across from the ingress/egress area of the parking lot on Rolling Acres (is it the pet store that is on the end by Rolling Acres)?

Shrandell might have a different place to cross but Sandy and I park the cart directly across Rolling Acres from where Five Guys is located.........then try our best to walk/run frantically across Rolling Acres at that parking lot access intersection. Not the easiest thing to accomplish, particularly when there's any amount of traffic.

Default Only a golf cart as vehical

Wish I WERE able to drive something other than a golf cart, but with extremely limited vision remaining, I am very grateful for the ability to at least stay mobile in familiar territory driving my cart. The "mad dash" across Rolling Acres, is achievable at the parking lot area on the corner of 441 and RA near Five Guys. I don't recommend it as its a very busy intersection. I agree with the Texan's thread, if we don't ask, we won't get. Appreciate the input. Sandra

I'm sure that the stores in the Crossroads shopping center would love to have golf cart access but they made the decision to locate in a non-Villages area. Kohl's had the opportunity to be in Buffalo Ridge on Villages property and didn't take it. I don't see The Villages giving easy access to a competing business entity; it's a bad business decision and I wouldn't do it either.

Calls for a golf cart "ferry". A way to take you AND your golf cart across waters where a non LSV golf cart cannot travel.

I was thinking of a simple trailer holding a couple of carts. Might be a nice small business for someone. Could also go to Home Depot.
