Default Pools and concession stand

Do any of the pools, or simply Franklin, offer any beverages or snacks? Can you bring an adult beverages or is that prohibited?

I don't know about Franklin, but most rec centers and pools do not offer any concession stands for food or beverages. An exception would be the private pools at the country club restaurants. But, these pools require a membership.

You are allowed to bring adult beverages to the rec centers and pools.

No concession stand at pool I can see.

I am sure people bring in all kinds of beverages in refillable containers. Please avoid glass containers

They all have soda vending machine and of course Fenney has the Fenney Grill... many bring a cup with drinks in it. I don't think coolers are allowed...?

Coolers are allowed, but are restricted to the table areas, not next to the pool. No glass is allowed. Any beverage containers are allowed, but not glass containers.

There's a large sign outlining what is not permitted at each pool.

I have seen pizza delivered to the pool :-)

Reminder from the District.gov web site:

Swimming Pools

The Recreation & Parks Department strives to make the pools safe for everyone’s use and enjoyment!

All eligible residents and their guests with valid Guest ID Cards are asked to refrain from:

Having glass containers inside any pool area

Throwing or tossing any objects/toys on pool decks or in the pools

Playing music too loud - please use headphones or earbuds

Smoking within the pool area; designated smoking areas are outside the pool area

All residents and guests are required to comply with ID requirements and ages to use the swimming pools and supporting amenities and children should have proper approved floatation devices.

Enhanced Pool membership at golf courses is well worth the yearly fee, if you don’t own your own pool.

Food, soda, beer, wine, brought to you. Plus some days you can be one of the few at the pool.

See, perfect. Helping others to help themselves. Go to pool of choice, read sign, questions answered, problem solved.

That is why we did the pool enhancement, before we built our pool.
Bring family to the pool, have food and drinks available.

The regular neighboorhood pools, no food or beverages.

In my village adult pool, people bring coolers full of beer, sometimes a daquiri machine, bottles of wine, liquor, snacks, pizzas, pretty much anything goes if you clean up after yourself and don't cause other people problems and number one rule is NO glass containers EVER.

Basically, that is the Villages rule for all pools. The rules are made by The Villages Recreation Department. Each pool does not make their own rules.
