Been while since been over there, seen new building Going in Southern Trace across from Golden Corral. Any clues to what going in there? Also business going in at 301 and CR42 buy dollar store?

Just what is needed...another bank! That 5th/3rd bank going in at Lake Deaton Plaza will be the 5th bank in that shopping center, along with a credit union. It would surely be nice to see some actual retail outlets going into these centers.

Retail stores are in the business of making money. They have probably the best real estate teams, they know if they will make money in an area.

The fact that there are not many retail stores, tells us they know they won’t make money. You can argue about it, but retail doesn’t do well. That’s why we get banks, pharmacies, restaurants, and grocery stores.

Named after merger of the Third National Bank of Cincinnati and the Fifth Street Bank of Cincinnati. Just glad they didn't name it the 1&2/3rd Bank,

With more and more people buying their stuff online, lots of brick and mortar retail is no longer necessary. I patronize physical retail as little as possible. I purchase almost all clothing and household items online. I’m even beginning to purchase a lot of food and grocery items online. My trips to retail are limited to a weekly Publix run, with the rare visit of Home Depot / Lowe’s.

7/11 301 and CR42 The new gas station, convenience store and car wash will be built at U.S. 301 and County Road 42 in Summerfield, not far from the Marion County section of The Villages.
