Have been a satisfied customer of T Mobile for just under 3 years, owning a Samsung S22.
Yesterday received an email from them offering us an upgrade to a S 24 on them. Silly me thinks they want to keep us as a customer and by committing to probably two years would get the new phone at no cost. Go to their store this am and told the rep about the offer and first offers us $ 200 off the phone price and than $ 300. New phone would otherwise cost about $ 1000. When I remind him about the phone on us offer he asks to see email and after a couple of minutes says they can do it but we must upgrade to a new plan which will cost $ 40 per month. In other words a free phone costs us $ 480 per year. His only response is they will have a better offer on Black Friday. To say the least rather disappointed in T Mobile. Caution they are very sneaky and to me dishonest. |

You also forgot to tell them you were also going to mention it on the TOV site which will drop their revenue significantly, LOL. AT&T whom I was with forever could not get me a cheaper unlimited (vs. limited) plan after I went to two different stores inquiring about it with no luck. Ironically, after I dropped them I got a fairly long survey and one of the questions was ”did you enquire about our other services at our store before you dropped us” Beware, LOL

We’re not yet eligible to upgrade and don’t have Samsung so haven’t received the offer. I’m used to seeing so much fine print with those offers that I don’t believe them anyway.

Just leave your current carrier, that usually will buy out your old phone, or contact with better deals than you have now, getting that coveted new phone.
We have the new iPhone every year with no increase in plan $$.

If you like T-Mobile then look into Mint Mobile, a T-Mobile MVNO that is now actually owned by T-Mobile. $15 per month for unlimited voice, text, and data, although the bandwidth may be limited after 5 GBytes per month. Other plans with higher data limits, before possible bandwidth limitations, are available. Buy your phone separately or buy through them. They do not have a brick and mortar presence so you must be comfortable installing a SIM card or eSIM.

I’ve been with T-Mobile for a long time. Take a look at the email fine print: most likely says with Go5G or Go5Gnext. Their best offers always are.

I did and do not see where it would cost more but when I tried to complete the application it seems to have expired. |
