Saw that earlier today, looking forward to finally have a close Costco but traffic might be a nightmare

Our Costcos (7) up north took 8 months from the time permits were approved. One at the time was toted as the Largest Costco was 9 months to grand opening. Then again if developer is building hopefully we can be shopping by August.

Once it hits Costco site, it’s usually 8 months to open.

We were new homeowners in 2009.
Our realtor drove us past that plot of land and told us they were building a shopping center there.
Who knew it would be one mega store. ….16 years later.

Default It’s official! Costco is coming.

A deal has been inked by TV commercial development. Final permits were approved. The site is off Wedgwood Lane, just north of CR466 & Buffalo Glen Softball Complex, south of CR466. Progress!

“Conversations took place throughout the years, whenever Renick or Jarquin would see Costco representatives at the industry conferences.

Congratulations for the absolute perseverance!

I would guess that the number of Costco members in our area arrived to the point where they saw it advantageous to build. Thankfully, it will reduce the logjams at Clermont, Wesley Chapel and Altamone Springs, which are about an hour drive away for most of us.

Too bad it won’t be more centrally located. In the extreme north with lots of traffic already.

Probably chosen for available space and proximity to Ocala. Those in the south and in the east are somewhat close to Clermont already. Not much empty space in the middle. And it looks like there is nothing to the north between here and Jacksonville.

Great more traffic in my nick of woods. You would thought they would have built it further south?

Yup. Now to win over Trader Joe's and The Village's will be complete!

I’ll never understand the attraction to Trader Joe’s. Been in several, walked out empty handed. Please explain.
