Default Florida State shooting.

It seems we need a lot more common sense approaches to stopping these tragedies. The most important one is treat others how you want to be treated. Tone down the hate, division and the like.

And maybe actually read the US Constitution and the 2nd Amendment and put into the context of the late 1780s and early 1790s. Second Amendment | Wex | US Law | LII / Legal Information Institute

Settled law and you know it. You don't have to like it.

It is not settled law. The Second Amendment Permits The Disarming of "Dangerous" Felons | Sixth Circuit Appellate Blog

People who have limited access to guns but, want to harm find other ways to do it.

One ongoing example: London knife crime 2024| Statista

Over 15,000 knifings in the most recent year tabulated just in the the city of London, not all of the UK.

Clearly, all of these actions, no matter the weapon, are a reflection of the person(s) carrying them out - not their tool of choice.

Yes, they do. So, the point is to address the sickness in society rather than the weapon of choice. Or, these actions will never decrease.

And, limiting law-abiding citizens from owning adequate tools to protect themselves doesn't solve anything and makes matters worse.

(Btw, many of these school shootings are not organic events but, if I posted many interesting links related to that, I think my post would be removed. I encourage all to utilize the amazing information tool of the internet.)

Guns designed for the battlefields of the world are not adequate tools unless you are battling a horde of zombies. And, so far, zombies are fictional.

And a militia arming itself to take on the US Army is kind of ridiculous. You do not take a rifle to tank fight. Unless that rifle is something designed to destroy tanks.

I do not see these shootings as "organic events". They are so much worse because of the easy access for some to weapons meant to be used against enemy groups of soldiers and not against civilians.

It makes no sense, for instance, for a Villager to plant land mines to protect his or her house. Land mines are for fields of battle.

Common sense had flown out the window with access to weapons that tear people into pieces.

Some of these disturbed souls are doing exactly that, in a manner of speaking. Suicide by cop.

Florida State University shooting - Wikipedia

On a personal note, one of my former Villages' neighbors' granddaughter lost her life in the Parkland shooting. I only saw her around the neighborhood. Did not really have any reason to talk to her .

These kind of senseless shootings hit home. And they would have been avoidable if not for rather stupid decisions about which weapons are manufactured and/or brought into the US .

here we go. Again. Yet another attempt to bring up a topic that will result in Both Sides giving their opinions and slide into the P areas.

And nothing gets done here other than some deleted and warnings and bans on TOTV.

But now that it’s open, he used a gun that his mother, a law enforcement in the area owned. And that he was a troubled young man with psych issues. Blame the person not the hardware. A drunk driver kills someone… ban the car. Old argument but, still…,
