I sure dont begrudge any President a vacation or more than one....BUT, WHY NOW ! He comes on tv and tells us how bad it is and then goes away on politics and vacation...that makes no sense.

On the plan, of course there was no plan...he spent literally ONE FULL YEAR paying off people in order to get through a health care plan that people are running away from in droves.......if there is or will be a plan....WHY NOW ? Where has it been as unemployment was tanking....it did not just now become bad.

Never said that....can you show me where I made ANY comment about its affect on me personally ?

And if you read the health care plan, most of its tentacles dont even bother anyone for awhile, and if you further read you will find it is being turned aside by many who can see the added costs and less benefits.

I do not post on here based on PERSONAL liability...party preference, or anything other than my feelings on what is best for this country..you can check the archives on here for FOUR years and find that to be true

And your question still does not speak to the specific intent and message of this thread which is a discussion on why no plan and where has it been. I am suggesting he wasted time on his PERSONAL legacy and ignored the burgeoning economic disaster. His choice...he is President...he can do what he wants...I simply ask why

I agree with you on everything except the unemployment part. I'm very upset that ALL of them are on vacation while our economy tanks!!! I mean ALL!!! To the unemployment... My understanding is that Mr. Obama has agreed to some of the bills the Republicans have worked on that would promote more jobs and as soon as he gives the "thumbs up" they walk away.

So far I've personally I'm not sure I know what the plan is. I thought it protected me from pre existing issues with the insurance companies so, took myself off my husbands and only had my own this year, saving me a ton of money. Now I find that's only for children. Oops! I'm not sure it will hurt me when I go back to my husbands insurance this year as my "condition" is minor....

I have always questioned the part of the plan about people "having to buy insurance or be fined" I think if people could afford it, they would buy it.

I heard that in order to get it passed... a lot of people played the ... If you put this in, I will vote for it game.

Other then that... I'm not sure I know what's in it.

There is a thread that I began awhile ago...asking that same question...the President of the United States has/had the power to call them back to work on this...even if unsuccessful it is/was the right thing to do.

I'm new on the forum... Sorry I didn't see the thread. I don't know why they aren't back!!! If I had a mess like this... I would be expected to be back cleaning it up!!! I'm not a happy camper!!! Not happy at all....

It effects everybody the USA personally. When companies do not hire or expand and unemployment lingers over 20% (real unemployment) the stock market get nervous. Stocks go down. IRA's 401K's and all monies disappear. How more personal can you possibly get?
People are hurting because everybody is scared of the hindrance that is being placed on business, our bloodline.

You know, if Obamacare actually cut the cost of health care down to what EVERY OTHER COUNTRY INT HE INDUSTRIALIZED WORLD pays, I'd be in favor of it. But - I'm not seeing it. From what I've read it doesn't attack the sources of the problem. If it did, there'd be a much louder scream about socialism.
