Default Bad Dream

I had a bad dream last night. It was about TV being built out and sold out. No homes for sale and we couldn't move there. Does anybody know when they expect to be finished building new homes?

Default I know...

I know THAT dream!!! I used to have it all the time! I wasn't aloud to talk about the Villages until we secured our lot for fear that we wouldn't get a lot!

Anybodys guess. So many factors that can influence the answer. That being said, WAG 4-5 years.

I've heard the buildout will be finished different years by different people: 2015, 2016 and 2017. But I think there should still be resales with people upsizing, downsizing and moving back up north (or on to their great reward). Since I will probably be buying a resale anyway, I'm more concerned what the TV resale prices will be like once the build out is complete.

People die and people become too incapacitated to live on their own....there will always be houses available. A lesser number then now, but there will always be houses.

I dream of moving to TV and donating my ice scraper and snow shovel to my church to sell at their annual rummage sale.

In the one of the recent responses to the IRS, The Villages indicated they expected the build out to be 2018.

Default Someone said...

And I agree... They will find a way to buy more land and build more homes! I will be surprised if this is the end!

Schaum, 2012 to 2015 have been tossed around (without much factual basis), but if you could sit on your lanai and watch one go up like I did, they should be done in a couple of weeks. It's truly amazing how fast a small area seems to get built up and sold.

Mulligan, That must be kind of interesting to watch the homes go up around you. Hopefully it wasn't too loud or dusty at your home.
