Default Sun Controls Earth's Temperature

New Science Confirms: Earth's Temperature Determined Not by Taxes and Regulations but by Sun

Quote:
The science is now all-but-settled on global warming, convincing new evidence demonstrates, but Al Gore, the IPCC and other global warming doomsayers won’t be celebrating. The new findings point to cosmic rays and the sun — not human activities — as the dominant controller of climate on Earth.

The research, published with little fanfare this week in the prestigious journal Nature, comes from über-prestigious CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, one of the world’s largest centres for scientific research involving 60 countries and 8,000 scientists at more than 600 universities and national laboratories. CERN is the organization that invented the World Wide Web, that built the multi-billion dollar Large Hadron Collider, and that has now built a pristinely clean stainless steel chamber that precisely recreated the Earth’s atmosphere.

In this chamber, 63 CERN scientists from 17 European and American institutes have done what global warming doomsayers said could never be done — demonstrate that cosmic rays promote the formation of molecules that in Earth’s atmosphere can grow and seed clouds, the cloudier and thus cooler it will be. Because the sun’s magnetic field controls how many cosmic rays reach Earth’s atmosphere (the stronger the sun’s magnetic field, the more it shields Earth from incoming cosmic rays from space), the sun determines the temperature on Earth.

Very interesting information on Lawrence Solomon:

Lawrence Solomon is a columnist for the Financial Post, the National Post, and the managing director of Energy Probe Research Foundation. [1] He is also a climate change skeptic and authored a book titled, "The Deniers: The world-renowned scientists who stood up against global warming hysteria, political persecution, and fraud," [2] which is based on a series of articles he wrote for the National Post. [3]

Solomon writes in his book "The Deniers" that "As these rather dramatic reversals for the doomsday view mounted, however, I also noticed something striking about my growing cast of deniers. None of them were deniers." Richard Littlemore criticized Solomon for not making clear that the people profiled in the book believe that humans cause global warming, "they just argue about tiny bits of science that even the IPCC admits remain unsettled. ... Neither does Solomon acknowledge the complaints that he has received (and rebuffed) from legitimate scientists whose work he has misrepresented." [4]

Typical left-wing strategy, attack the messenger.
The left-wing establishment has been doing its best to keep a lid on this breakthrough, but in the end, truth will out. Already liberals are becoming desperate enough to start playing the absurdly irrelevant race card to silence skeptics. As with their race-baiting attack on the Tea Party, this is a sure indication that they feel the wall against their backs.

Maybe the sun is racists.

Quote:
Yet this spectacular success will be largely unrecognized by the general public for years — this column will be the first that most readers have heard of it — because CERN remains too afraid of offending its government masters to admit its success. Weeks ago, CERN formerly decided to muzzle Mr. Kirby and other members of his team to avoid “the highly political arena of the climate change debate,” telling them “to present the results clearly but not interpret them” and to downplay the results by “mak[ing] clear that cosmic radiation is only one of many parameters.” The CERN study and press release is written in bureaucratese and the version of Mr. Kirkby’s study that appears in the print edition of Nature censored the most eye-popping graph — only those who know where to look in an online supplement will see the striking potency of cosmic rays in creating the conditions for seeding clouds.

CERN, and the Danes, have in all likelihood found the path to the Holy Grail of climate science. But the religion of climate science won’t yet permit a celebration of the find.

I think all we really need to know is that Mr. Solomon has far more credentials and experience in SCIENCES with world-class research groups than Al Gore, Michael Moore or Oprah Winfrey could ever dream of accomplishing.

I can understand and appreciate other poster's viewpoints on the issue of global warming.

But what in the world does a statement like this have to do with a posting on global warming controversy?

"Already liberals are becoming desperate enough to start playing the absurdly irrelevant race card to silence skeptics. As with their race-baiting attack on the Tea Party, this is a sure indication that they feel the wall against their backs.

Maybe the sun is racists."

Very poor taste, to say the very least. Inflamatory language just trying to goad others into replying in kind. Shame on you.

What is in poor taste is the left's insistent attacking of messengers of news. When they ain't attacking the messenger they are using the race card.

Poor taste never stopped the liberals from accomplishing their goals of destroying the USA.

Gee, Dale,

This certainly is more pleasant a place to hang out since I have VillageGolfer on my IGNORE list. Sort of like swatting a buzzing gnat.

Personal attacks are not encouraged here TBUG. Why don't you try to contribute more to the topic at hand?

The sun's influence on our climate has been ignored by many in the science community because there is no money in it. Most of the taxpayer's money is given to "scientists" who have a financial investment on the results of their studies, hence the slanted results that say that there is man-made global warming. If they do not say it is man-made, the money may stop.

The profit motive is powerful an obviously it "cuts" as much as it "kicks". Also some such as scientist get so invested in their research that they lose all objectivity. Profit motive for Apple brought us break through technology. Profit motive for climate control because it has been based on deception has bankrupt a number of "green" start ups the sad thing is that some of this green technology may well lead to something great. so the Al gore's of the world did us a disservice

As I said, I appreciate hearing other viewpoints on global warming. I don't know if it is solid proof either way. Makes sense but I am not a scientist. Good to hear different views and opinions.

At least the bug spray button has kept the buzzing little gnats away.

That's obvious! It amazes me that people who admit to not being a scientist can hold so tightly to their "beliefs" that have no basis in scientific fact. Maybe this is an example of where the term "blind faith" comes from...?
