Default What Team Obama Is Hiding About ObamaCare

Medicare premiums will be increased as follows:

$96.40 present
$104.20 (2012)
$120.20 (2013)
$247.00 (2014)

According to the McKinsey report referenced by Howard Dean
30% of small businesses will not be able to provide health insurance owing to excessive health care regulations resulting from ObamaCare.

If your retired now and have a medicare supplement provided by your employer it may well disappear?

Folks ObamaCare has to be repealed

Wold you please give reference links to those figures.

Personally, I don't like Obamacare, I think that the Federal Government needs to stay out of medical care, auto bailout, bank bailouts and let the free market do its thing.

Where did you get these numbers?

How much do you think you are paying on hospital and other medical bills for folks who do not carry insurance, are indigent or illegal? A LOT. Everyone needs to pony up and pay a portion for medical care. Who do you think is paying for it now. WE ARE!!!! Medical costs are ridiculous. I just got a bill for blood tests for $75. Insurance was billed $11!!!! I paid about $2. So what do you think the inflated $75 price was for? If the practise took $13 for it, what do you think the real cost to them is? Why do you think the bill was $75?

Poor folks use the ER for their kids colds...the MOST expensive kind of medical care. Illegals use them even more. Many ERs in California had to close because they could not afford to provide care for them and the law says you have to triage exam everyone who walks in your door. If a woman is actively in labor, you have to deliver the baby in your hospital.

No health care plan is going to be perfect, but we have to start SOMEWHERE. If the repubs had gone with the Clinton health care reforms, we would probably have a pretty good plan by now.

That is why it is extremely important to vote republican so we can repeal this terrible law. It is bankrupting Massachusetts and that is why Romney might be in trouble. In Massachusetts, you can be in perfect health and they fine you every year that you are not covered by insurance. There is no incentive to stay healthy. My obese neighbor pays the same as me?

It was confirmed by snopes.com. Obama is pirposefully delaying these premium amounts until after the 2012 elections.

The bill was passed behind closed doors in secret. How much more is Team Obama holding back?

We will continue to carry people who will not be able to afford medical care. In the meantime Obama?Care and health related regulations being implemented will make it prohibitive for employers to offer health insurance. Many retirees are provided with medicare supplements from their employers that will disappear. Obama will push us to a single payer plan. and despite what Team Obama supporters say older adults will be sacrifaced because they are the people who will need more care. do you want to be told your too old to be given are for an heart aliment or cancer? There are proviso in the plan that restrict such care.

They are false:

According to the article:

"Currently, the projected Medicare Part B standard premiums are $108.20 for 2012, $112.10 for 2013 and $117.10 for 2014"

These are the absolute numbers, not the incremental numbers that you are claiming.

Maybe someone should try to get the PDF of the actual information from the government...I tried, but was unable to download it. Nothing against Snopes, but more reliable from the primary source.

Health Care Reform...Medicare continues to slash reimbursement=less money to buy equipment + less money to keep staffing levels up to quality/safe numbers=decreased access to care for ANYONE!
Regulations and accreditations for Level 1 Trauma Centers require incredible amounts of man power just to maintain the documentation of having fullfilled the requirements. No documentation can close the facility down. What staff goes first? Front line first responders? Just one example...
Here's another-The same people who think nothing of making a $500.00 auto payment, take a cruise once a year, belong to bowling league, smoke a pack of cigarettes/day and are slightly obese...are often the same people who complain about the cost of health insurance and health care. Do they think that all of our incredible technology and research and skilled medical personnel are worth less than the other stuff they spend their money on? If you don't have your health, you don't have much of anything.

I've read these rates before. Percentage wise, yes, a big jump in the third and fourth year. Actually those insurance prices are bargains. Try going to an insurance company such as BCBS or Aetna and get that rate. My daughter pays $260 a month, big copay, no office visits.

$247- that is about $8 a day. 2 martinis at the watering hole. The cost of 4 golf balls. $2 more a day than my cable, internet, and phone bill.
Now if your Social Security was your ONLY income and you made $1200 a month, that is a different story.... but you wouldn't be living in TV.

It is never mentioned who really wins on all of this... the insurance companies who line the pockets of both parties with donations.

Would you prefer a Yugo payment of $150/month or the fully loaded Mercedes for $600/month...I guess you get what you pay for.

Who would you give a heart transplant to if only one was available. A 25 y/o or an 80 y/o. Reality is that limited resources have to be allocated in a way that makes sense. What you are advocating is unlimited care for everyone without holding them responsible for paying SOMETHING for it. If you want cradle to death care, support tax increases earmarked for health care. You are very inconsistent.Personally, my health care directive says that I do NOT want excessive care or extraordinary measures to keep me alive. I am a realist and a cancer survivor and if things get bad, my directive says to just keep me painfree, not alive on machines or transplants. So yes, I would be ok with being told at 75 I could only receive pallitive treatment. When you have had cancer, you come to terms with your own mortality rather quickly. Quality of life is an important issue and I have defined my clearly in my directive. Have you?
