Default Let's try a different approach on the following article:

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/...utm_medium=RSS

I would normally give my opinion, the step back against the wall and wait for the responding barrage.

This time, I would like to hear just what all of you think about this article and it's intents. I know it is much easier to to counterpoint, but I would just like to hear your reaction.

I'm just wondering with African-Americans losing more and more jobs, what is the impetus that's going to impel them to mass as a group, as he's begging them, and march for him. What is he offering them? More of the same? I don't know how "y'all" think about this, but I think it's a bit patronizing and self-serving.

I'm not sure is this is what "y'all" are thinking, but that's what I got out of it, "y'all"

LOL I didn't listen to his speech, I rarely do, but did he change his way of talking? You know his dialect?

Article...though I did see a clip of his actual words regarding the article....
and "Just Words",

[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AKfwz3NnSlY[/ame]

It seems he is back in community organizing mode, and again, campaigning at the taxpayers expense.

Yes, campaigning again on the taxpayer' s expense. Words do not inspire a Nation- jobs that help your families and your self esteem are what's important. We have seen the results of "words" written by an army of speechwriters and echoed by a fast talking shyster. Our country is in need of real leadership not a talker.

I always notice that the Black Congressional Caucus Foundation is never vilified by democrats as one of those evil "Special Interest Groups".

I also notice that in this group's goals, the color of one's skin is supposed to matter more than the other colors of skin.

It's more of the usual race baiting and demands for special treatment.

In the eyes of a liberal, It seems that it's the recognizing of the race-baiting that is, in itself, racist.

Default It's not complicated...

The President is looking for support for his jobs bill anywhere he can get it. He knows history and the power of public demonstrations in the past.
To date, Congress has not been influenced by record-level disapproval surveys, media tongue-lashing, or economic disintegration.
In the 60's, public demonstrations more than any other factor brought about monumental civil rights legislation. After that, an unyielding President and deadlocked Congress looked out at the thousands on the Mall and finally moved toward ending the Vietnam war.
There is nothing wrong with talking to "y'all'. It's a quick and clear reference to the record numbers of unemployed and poverty-bound.
I submit the majority of Congressmen either don't REALLY understand the current problem or future ramifications of that, or don't REALLY care. They need to SEE it, like their 60's predecessors.
I believe large public demonstrations would help break the logjam in Congress. Change is the only thing the poverty-bound have to look forward to. A case can be made that it is the Chief Executive's duty to remind them to believe that they can affect change if they get out of their bedroom slippers.

The president is looking for support for the election and that is the only thing he is looking for. All this guy can do is ask for more money from congress to be wasted into the drain hole. We have tried the Stimulus and it didn't work. Now he wants to try the same thing again, huh? We need to strip the shackles of the stifling regulations that discourage growth in the private sector. This guy has no new ideas. Just the same old tired rhetoric that got him elected and which the USA will be paying for a very long time.

Oh yea, nice touch with his bedroom slipper BS that he said in his pathetic speech. Goodnight Y'all.

But why is he spending $181,000 per hour (what it costs to fly AF1) blaming congress for inaction and asking those who love him to do him a favor and get out of their bedroom slippers and march for him, when.......all he has to do is pick up the phone and call Harry Reid and ask him why his JOBS Bill is not on the senate's agenda yet. Rumor has it that there is not enough Dem support for the bill (too many do not want the negative spending to affect their re-election)...so Harry has to get into the back slapping, back room deal making, schmoozing mode. But that is never referred to in public speeches by Obama or the media that flies continual cover for his optics.

Empty words from the script writers as usual.
