Default Gun Banning

This election will determine our Second Amendment freedoms. If Obama wins he will put another liberal on the Supreme Court and that will mean they will ban guns.

We must defeat Obama because once they ban guns, government will be out of control. The Second Amendment protects us from the complete control of government.

Wake up people!!!!!!

Michelle Obama (The Bitter Half) has warned us.

No politican is dumb enough to completely ban firearms and mess with the 2d Amendment, just yet. They (the government) are just a couple generations to soon for that to happen. The government needs to dumb down the population before banning all firearms and taking control of every aspect of your life. The government is now in the process of dumbing down furture generations of Americans to believe that the government has the right to control everything that you do.

Will this work, maybe maybe not, just hope that I never have to find out.

The Second Amendment is clinging to life because the Supreme Court needs just one more vote.

VG, sure did. You have to remember the Surpreme Court is not the final word in laws. That belongs to the Constitution and We The People. Just because 9 fools in black robes say something that does not mean its law. That is a mistake that lots of folks make. The Constitution is the final word in law, but seems that many have forgotten that and we, again, We The People, have let our law makers get away with stuff that should have been kick back by the States for being in violation of the Constitution. That is why it is important to watch not only Federal elections, but who we put into office in local and state elections. We The People have more control of local and state criminals than we do Federal. Nulificiation by the states can do wonders to control the Federal Government criminals. More states need to be pushed into using that control, and We The People can force, by ballot, our local and state governments to do just that.

So, again no politican will be stupid enough, well they might, but it will be way to early for that to happen. We need more dumbing down before the elite take total control of our lowly, useless way of life.

Pat RI, well if they, the government, want your guns bad enough they, the government goons, will be prying them from your cold dead hands. Hopefully, We The People, will, through the ballot and not the bullet will change our government in 2012 and none of this will happen. Words are easy to say, but if you have never been shot at before, let me tell you, its a live changing experience, and one that I hope that I will never experience again.

So let's look over each candidate very carefully, chose wisely and hope for the change that will head this country in the right direction once again.

I'm sure the guns owners used to say that in Australia. We know how that turned out.

Criminals will always have guns, and I strongly recommend you have a few in your home for your own protection.

I totally agree with what you say but it will be from my cold dead hands. What is funny is they are discussing a national right to carry bill as we talk about this.

Where were you gun totin' jocks last Saturday night when the crime of the year occured at Lake Sumter Landing? I understand through 3rd hand information that someone jumped out of a car, dragged someone else out of another car and beat the crap out of him with a lead pipe in front of witnesses - and then drove off. Supposedly it happened around 9 pm with a town square full of people - and no one with a gun to bring truth, justice, and the American way to the bad dudes.

Ya got it all wrong...It was a Mustard colored car and the weapon was a candlestick, but it was in Spanish Springs and there were no witnesses!

Well, let's see where to start on the above statement. Just because you, as an individual decides to get permission from the state, any state where it is legal, to carry a concealed weapon does not give you police powers. The best police powers that you have is that expensive cell phone with the camera and the right to call 911 as quickly as you can.

Now, being that it was in a crowded Town Square, lots of innocent folks standing around, sipping their favorite beverage, it is not a good idea to cut lose and shot a few rounds off. The best and most likely the fastest way to stop what was going on was to shout at the individual doing the beating to get him to look up into the camera so that you get a good shoot of his face for the soon to arrive police officers, then get a shoot of the license plate of the car and try to remember as much of the details of what you saw to help with the investigation of the incident. Let the officers know that you have a recording on your phone of what you saw. It will help them a lot.

Since the vast majority of CCW holders never get any training on how to react in an emergency situation and most likely would not hit the target anyway due to excitement and stress, please go for the cellphone camera and 911 and leave the rest to the trained soon to arrive officers of the law.

That is the best way to bring truth, justice, and the American way to the bad dudes, keep yourself out of a civil suit and maybe even out of a criminal charge. Using deadly force is a life changing situation, make sure you are ready for the change.

Oh, by the way, I have carried for all most all my adult life and the last time I fired a shot in anger was TET 1968 and everyday I hope that I never have to do it again. Would I if I had to, yes, would I ever want to NO. That is why I believe in: advoidance, awareness and and de-escalation.
