Has anyone been to this production this year and would you recommend it?

Default Ice

We went last year and enjoyed it. Last year it was The Night Before Christmas story. I have two coupons for 50% off for this year if you'd like them...we are not going to go this year.

Hi ..Yes it is an excellent show..actually for the 5th year my son plays in a little Christmas show that is free in The Attrum of Gaylord Palms so if you go to the Ice show..walk on over to that. They have 3 shows from 6:30 on, it's free and the whole place is decorated so nice..Do I sound like a braging mother..he's only 40!!By the way..We've lived in Villages for 5 month's...what a Beautiful Tree Lighting Downtown Spanis Springs..very impresive! Have a Good Day...DebiO

Default should be worth it

My daughter works there and told me she thought it was even better than usual. The year I saw it (maybe 3 years ago) it was pretty darn good. I was kind of surprised I enjoyed it as much as I did.

I think they have a theme every year, but I can't remember what she said this year's was.

They give you warm coats with hoods to wear, so don't worry about dressing for it, except I'd be sure to wear long pants and shoes and socks, no sandals.

Default Shrek the Halls...

...was one of the themes at the Ice show at Gaylord Palms. A bunch of our neighbors and two of our family went to this yesterday afternoon. The ice sculptures are kept at around 9 degrees F according to the door person so it was quite cold in the area. Reminded me of Minneapolis in March!

The Shrek ice sculptures were fantastic. Done by about 20 Chinese artists from somewhere in Northern China which is famous for huge colored ice cuttings.

The band playing in the main stage at this resort were also good with the Christmas songs.

You should bring gloves, ear muffs, and a warm hat to the Ice shows too along with the long pants and some kind of warm shoes and socks.

Went with Senior Adventures with the neighborhood. They had a bus pick us up at Truman Rec. Center. Went to the Ice Show and Gaylord Palms it was a good show. But I have to say the best part of the trip was after that we went to Celebration where it snows every night. They cover the street in snow and then they have it snowing from the light posts. We had a good snow ball fight.
