Default Does anybody know what time it is....

If a digital clock was the rooms only light source,

What time would it be when the room is the brighest?

What time would it be when the room was the darkest?

I assume it is not a trick question. If it is not I think I got it, but will not post so others can play. My answer assumes it is also not a 24 hour clock.

Thanks Tom. My brain is now ready for the day

PS. I think I have it right... but will check in later

Ok, I'll try. 1:11 at it's darkest and 10:08 at it's brightest.
The first time uses less light to display the digits and the second uses the most.

Why wouldn't 00:00 0r 08:08 be brighter if 1 is the least light

When I was first given the question my guess was 8:08 also. But if you think about it "0 and 1 use more lighting surface than an 8."

because clocks don't read out 00:00 or 08:08 (at least my digital clock doesn't, but 24 hour clocks might). But if a clock does read out 08:08, then you would be correct.

The purpose I gave the post that title heading. I could have named the thread "TIME" but people would have been singing "the Stones, "T-i-m-e is on my side, yes it is."
