Default What do you make of the unusual weather?

I'm not sure if the weather in Florida has been different this year than in the past, but here in Upstate NY we pretty much skipped winter and today it reached 80 or above. Usually in March, we are still under feet of snow. I'm not sure what to make of it? What do you all think is happening not just with Upstate weather but with the weather in general....seems to be more catastrophic weather and unusual temps.

We're the same in Wisconsin. In the 80's for the past few days and expected even hotter tomorrow. Weird...isn't it? We never got below 0 this winter, which is quite rare for Wisconsin. I hope we're not just being spoiled and we'll end up having an awful spring and summer...finger's crossed.

Since this is our last winter in Virginia, I thought God was just getting us used to TV weather.

At least that's what I would like to think.

Don't know about other parts of the country that have also been experiencing the non-existent winter............but it's becoming "Bug World" big-time here in Central OH!!! But in the overall scheme of things, we'll take the bugs if that's what comes with the way-warmer-than-normal temps!

I wouldn't read too much into this year's unusual weather. Last year was cold in TV and NY was buried in snow. Just be thankful for what you have.

It was 86 degrees in West Michigan today. The flowers are starting to bloom and my magnolia tree looks great. Very strange but it feels good.

Our president had a hand in this. We saved many gallons of fuel oil by not using our heating systems. By doing this the price of gasoline is going down to an all time low.

Yeah, right..........

Fourth warmest winter ever in NY metro area.

Just consider it an aberration, and be happy we're not shovelling that 4-letter white stuff !

It's going to be 78 degrees Wednesday in my home town of Lagoon City, Ontario, Canada. The ice is gone, trees are budding. Absolutely amazing!

There is only one group to blame, pick one. The Republicans or is it the Democrates, maybe the GLBT people, how about the right wing religous groups. Wait what about global warming.
Hey wait a minute (maybe just maybe it is just a natural thing that happens.)
No way that could never be. Let's see the world spins and turns around the sun the ordit the angle also changes slightly over time. That could effect the weather over time. No that can't be it has to be one of the other reasons.

Our weather this winter has been wonderful also. We usually get a few periods of really cold weather. Our trpical plants must be covered because of frost at night. We wake up to temperatures in the 30"s. In January of 2010 we even had a dusting of snow on our roofs. The snow didn't last long but it was amazing to see.

Are you saying your weather this winter was NOT as cold as usual? Is the weather now hotter than usual or is this the norm? Is the weather in Florida changing from 10 -20 years ago and, if so, how?
