Anyone seen this 2 hr. documentary.

It's an eye opener if you're overweight.

I wish I had seen it but I haven't watched TV since December of 2004. There was a column in the Daily Sun today telling about the many problems of being overweight. It can bring on diabetes, some forms of cancer, heart trouble, strokes, sleep apnea, and Phlebitis to name a few.

Also, from books I have read: If your knee joints are hurting, being overweight makes it worse. Being overweight at middle age increases the risk of getting Alzheimer's by about 6 times. And it's often the case that elderly people can't get up if they fall down. They just don't have the strength to lift themselves up (too much weight and not enough muscle).

Did I miss any other ailments? I'm sure I did. Arthritis? I believe arthritis pain is made worse by being overweight.

The most interesting fact I saw was that folks that are over weight have been found to have fat in their liver.

This causes all kinds of health issues fatty liver is also known as NASH, which stands for Non- Alcoholic Steatorrhoeic Hepatosis or Non-Alcoholic-Fatty-Liver-Disease (NAFLD) but don't be put off by these big terms – they just mean that your liver is being invaded with fat!
Fatty liver or NASH, is very common in overweight persons, over the age of 30.

In the U.S., the Centers for Disease Control reports that currently, approximately one half of the U.S. adult populationisoverweight (BMI>25) and one quarter of the U.S. adult population isobese (BMI>30).
That means upwards of 29 million Americans have nonalcoholic fatty liver disease.

It is easy to cure with weight loss aka a good diet or better yet a plant based diet (but that's another issue)

"The Long Goodbye" is sometimes very true. My father lived with it for 12 years after a stroke at age 70.

So I figure it this way........ it was one of the contributing factors to my father's death + my mother is in the intermediate stages now = BIG RED FLAG FOR ME !

Just because you're thin doesn't mean your healthy,
for example your cardio vascular system can still be riddled with plaque.

"Meats" that is the subject of the info I posted above additionally dairy is a concern.

If and when you see the Esseltyn documentary, it will all come to light.

Also look up Dr, Dean Ornish he and Esseltyn were the Dr's that worked with Bill Clinton a couple of years ago.

I don't want to repeat the contents herein, if interested in reducing or eliminating meds and living longer & healthier it is worth the time to investigate IMO.
