Default Good meal at Bonifay

Today we had friends visit from Del ray beach and decided to try Bonifay Country club. It was a beautiful day and we wanted to eat lunch with a view of a golf course. Since we live so close to Bonifay it was the obvious choice. We were very pleased with our lunches and the view was gorgeous. Our friends loved the club. I had a lemon chicken salad with a cup of corn crab soup. The soup was pretty spicy but I liked it. The salad was perfect for a warm day. Hubby had the shrimp Caesar salad and the soup, and our friends had a Ruben sandwich with fries and salad. Both enjoyed it. I really like the decor...light and airy. We will definitely go back again!

I agree, Happinow... We went there last night and I had the same lemon chicken salad and it was delicious. Also last night was Mai Tai $2 drinks all day,,, so of course, I had 2 drinks... never had one before and it was great.

I really like the outside bar and view. Sure is fantastic. But these days they need some citronella candles on the tables, there were a few flies and they were annoying. Next time, I'll bring my own,,, Just in case.

I will go back, I loved it. Don't you think it would be nice to have some music there too,,,
P.S..... I'm working on it.!!!

When Bonifay first opened we talked to one of the managers there and he told us it was in their lease that they could not have entertainment.

Not been yet. Glad to hear the good remarks, will try it soon. Any words on the service? Heard the food/atmosphere was similar to Mallory.

Probably because the golf course homes in Sanibel and Fernandina are to close for music?

It's nice to have places that we can go that don't have music. A place you can converse.

We have had lunch and dinner at Bonifay several times, all meals were great, though hubbs decided he liked my traditional meatloaf over the rum raisin. Agree the corn chowder is a bit spicy, but I love it. Friends have had the seafood scampi ( think) muscles, shrimp, scallops, etc over pasta, they loved it.

We will definitely be going back.

Thumbs up Another Thumbs Up

We went for lunch today and were treated to a delicious meal with excellent service. I had the flat bread with stuff on top appy and a ceasar salad and DW had a large salad with berries and grilled chicken. All were very delicious and our server Mo who happens to be from NJ about 20 mins. up the road from us was our server. She did an excellent job and we wouldn't hesitate to return.
