I think you are right in your analysis of polls in general, but based on what I am hearing on the ground and reading, this is translating into a landslide perhaps for Romney unless he screws up the debates, which is surely possible.

This last little stunt on immigration has rubbed folks the wrong way. People are talking about how you enforce ANY of it. How do you know how long anyone has been here since they were here illegally in the first place ? Never a word from the President on the scams they already are playing with our taxes, etc. It has not had the effect he hoped for and as the days go on,it will get worse as it settles in exactly what he had done.

As I said in another post...this country is about LAWS, not MEN and he cannot make decisions on what laws he will enforce and what laws he will not.

But, polls are just that...polls. Campaigns use them to spend their money and decide where to spend it but it does not predict how it will come out.

My feelings are based on some polls but mostly talking to folks actually in politics !!!

If that's the same newsmax article I read last week, the vast majority say they believe Obama will be reelected.

As the electoral college stands right now - even if Obama loses Florida (where he and Willard are tied) AND Ohio, he will still be reelected.

Bucco: Why do you bother yourself with such details. After all Obama and the liberals don't. If it strikes their fancy it must be right. If it makes them feel good it must be right. If the George Clooney's of his world fawn all over his every word then he must be spouting pearls and pearls of wisdom.

You are correct of course, but I spent the greater part of my life working in politics and it has become sort of a habit to keep involved and keep "my ear to the ground".

One thing I know....you never ever know what will happen in any election.

I know of what you speak however....some on here are absolute slaves to the party lines and their point of view. Despite my loathing of what Obama stands for, I have and will support many Democratic plans.(not the "progressive" plans)..though the last 3 years, our President has stalled the country with a total lack of leadership. So sick of him blaming congress when he should be leading....from what I hear publicly and privately, he doesnt even speak to the Democrats.

When your leadership fails you have no choice but to resort to rule. And we know rulers fail leaders succeed . obama is not a leader Time will tell

The election appears to be close..................and for the first time in history may be decided by "instant" social communication networks ( Facebook , Twitter , etc. ) over an event in the last 24 hours of the campaigns .

So America's future may be decided by not the best educated/informed voter............but rather by the quickest .

i venture to say that deciding an election by less than the best educated/informed is not anything new in this country!

Correct. Republicans gave us George W Bush, the worst president in US history and Richard M Nixon, the only president forced to resign.

I would be curious about something !!! You and another are always giving us these drive by posts.....nothing to do with issues in the world or country....posts like this that are off subject and having nothing to do with current events even.

What is the purpose ?

Thanks

The wubers on this forum are part of the 22% that still approved of Junior Bush at the end of his term.

As for R. Milhouse Nixon, he was one pitiful character when he resigned office.

Kind of reminds one of the other famous quitter, Caribou Barbie Palin. Also a mighty pitiful character after the drubbing in the election.

Maybe thats it !!

And perhaps I shouldn't even care, but I am suspecting it just might be "something to do" because they make no sense and never do I hear an opinion on an issue. It is pretty much defamation (hope I spelled that correctly..not good with legal terms) of people, both present and past, some with facts, others simply made up....thus not sure what the objective is.

But whatever as I was told earlier today....

Default Polls To The Left, Polls To The Right

Relying on a Newsmax poll would be like relying on a poll run by The Daily Kos, another web-oriented "news" organization as far to the left as Newsmax is to the right.

Newsmax Media is a conservative American news media organization founded by Christopher W. Ruddy and based in West Palm Beach, Florida. It operates the news website Newsmax.com and publishes Newsmax magazine. It is described as one of the top ranked websites for conservative political news in the United States.

Ruddy started Newsmax.com on September 16, 1998, supported by a group of politically conservative investors. The Financial Times reported that Newsmax.com is "one of the strongest conservative voices online".
