Default Picking insurance plan

I know this has been asked over and over...sorry, I'm gonna ask again. We have no particular Dr. that we see here. We have "average" health issues for our age...very soon 65. Are picking a Medicare plan for the first time. We think we have it narrowed down to Freedom, PUP, and PCP. Any real reason to pick one over the other? We are permanent residents here, so don't need any coverage anywhere else. Thanks...I'm getting ready to just pick a name out of a hat.

For 3rd party answers to this question I'd recommend visiting The Villages Insurance office. They'll give you comprehensive answers to your questions on the "in's and out's" you're requesting info on.

I've heard good things about all three. My husband made a spread sheet, and we now have Preferred Care Partners. They have offices in The Villages. We stopped by there just before my husband had hernia surgery to be sure we were crossing t's and dotting i's. They told us if we got any bills NOT to pay, but bring it to them. We did get one bill, and that's what we did. We have out own dental insurance..

Have to give another vote for PCP. If you have average health issues, don't know how you could go wrong. Supposedly the new "marcus welby" type medicine that will be practiced at the new facility across from Colony Plaza will be PCP participants. If what they claim to be there philosphy is in fact their philosphy it will be a wonderful experience for both the patient and the doctor. If you believe you can fit into this type of environment take advantage in 2013 because supposedly in 2014 Obamacare is going to nix most of these advantage plans. I'm thinking may as well ride the "gravy train" with the rest of the folks while it is available. Sorry if it's sounds like I'm bitter, just tired of everyone else getting the milk for free.

Our agent visited the house today and we signed up for PCP. I have no health issues and will get 99.90 back in my SS each month. Hubby takes expensive prescriptions and still is better off with PCP (also 99.90 back which helps to offset the prescription costs.) Freedom Health comes in 2nd for him. A pretty close comparison. We also made a spread sheet to compare. If you have extensive health issues it looked like Freedom Health was better. If you would like the name of our agent PM me and I will give it to you. He works with a lot of different companies so you can compare and he can help you to decide. He said PUP does not have good plans in our local counties.

Default Health club included?

Does anyone know if any of these plans, or any other plans, included free Health club membership?

Don't pick a name out of a hat. An agent can help you fit your plan to your needs and perhaps save you money in the long run. They will come to your house too and it is free.
