Too bad, you are 3 years too late. A neighbor of ours was moving and was desperate to give the whole set up to a new home for free. Finally he sold the fish and dumped the pond shell, pumps, rocks, and plants. He was trying to sell the home and the pond was a big detraction because no one wanted the pond. It was a wonderful and relaxing display.
A note of caution. You will probably have to build your pond inside a caged/screened patio. Otherwise the raccoons, coyotes, and stray cats will get the fish.

Don't forget the birds too! They love those plump fish.

Sorry I forgot about the gators. Right now I'm up North looking out the window watching a fat squirrel and 2 crows plunder the bird feeder and a doe and her yearling eating up the last of the few leaves left on the bushes. At least it is 34 degrees!

We have had one for 8 years. Have lost 2 fish to unknown predators. There is a net over the pond that has kept the blue herons away. The pond is dug about 3 1/2' deep with a liner and once the water is in balance there is little maintenance. We are about 150 yards from a preserve area that has all the critter's but they have not been a bother.
