Default What is your favorite Christmas movie?

Obviously, everyone loves "It's a Wonderful Life" with Jimmy Stewart, but who has another favorite or several favorite Christmas movie(s)????

My favorite is "A Christmas Story" where Ralphie yearns for a BBgun but his mom keeps telling him he is going to shoot his eye out.

Love the scene of him in the rabbit p.j.'s given as a gift by his aunt.
Ditto for the table lamp (shaped like a leg) prize his dad wins in contest.
Ditto for his dad cussing at the furnace.......so many nostalgic scenes.

A Christmas Story (1983) - Synopsis

A Christmas Story (1983) set in early 1950’s??

I love all the classic Christmas movies but my favorite is "Christmas Vacation." We watch it every year and still laugh until we cry.

Sounds good..........I just looked it up; it's available on AMAZON.COM
Thanks for suggestion.............

Kathleen (Catherine Mary Stewart) has carried around the unwanted memory of her father abandoning her and her mother on Christmas Eve. For the past 30 years, she has blamed her mother for that night and refuses to celebrate Christmas in any fashion. Although she has tried to forget her past, it has not forgotten her, and in the days leading up to Christmas she finds herself stuck in her own home with two strangers, Sam (Muse Watson), a gentle older man Kathleen took in for the night and Lucy (Cameron ten Napel), the daughter of her soon to be fiancé (Anthony Tyler Quinn).
As the storm brings her face to face with the hurts of her past, she will have to choose one path; letting go and grabbing hold of a life changing forgiveness or continuing to carry her pain and bitterness with her.

Good pick. Not sure if I can pick a favorite Christmas movie as there are so many with many memories attached to each one.

Default Elf

I like all of the afore mentioned movies but we watch Elf over and over and love it. It has become a tradition to turn all the lights off and just sit with the Christmas lights on and watch Elf with a box of popcorn!

Elf is one of those movies with a lot of memories as I saw it with Tal-Tar- and Zac at a movie theater in Oldsmar, FL when it came out. Who you see the movies with often comes into play with me and others I suppose. We had to sit in the front row though because we had trouble getting out of the house. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elf_(film)
