Default Early riser or staying up late????

I notice by some of the post times folks are up at all hours of the early AM.

Are you an early riser for what ever reason or a late night/AM person.

I, on occasion, will awaken during the night and not be able to fall back asleep. I am thankful it does not happen very often.

How about you?

I have always been an early riser since I was very very young. My internal clock wakes me up between 5-6 a.m. never have needed an alarm clock. I love the mornings, the quietness, watching the sun come up over a cup of coffee. I workout in the mornings as it is my best time to get the day started.

Based on my lifestyle as student/worker getting up at 4:00 AM is so ingrained that while I set my alarm I always get to it before schedule.
Early mornings are quiet and allow me time to internalize, set my daily tasks and read my papers without any distractions. I will nap mid-day for about 0 minutes. I love the arly morning and the sunrise

All the early risers are chiming in...me too. Though my starting time does seem to flow with the daylight/seasons. Earlier, 6ish, in June and later, 7ish in December. Start to bed by 10pm most nights. Certainly don't sleep as well as I did in my 20s.

Love the mornings here...the quiet, mild weather, read the paper, do my 'puter surfing, Pickleball/exercise. This time of year, great way to beat the heat and get exercise in before the storms!

Watching sunsets is wonderful - watching sunrises even more so.

I go to bed usually about midnight & up at 4:30 - 5:00 am. I never was a big sleeper. Guess I was always afraid I would miss something.

I'm usually up and around between 6 and 7 AM. I almost never go to bed before 11:30 PM. It's usually between midnight and 1 AM. If I nap, it's late afternoon for 20 minutes sitting in my chair.

Early riser also here. Always had to be to work at 5:00am each day, so really used to early hour. Feel energetic in the morning. Don't like rushing to golf course in morning, so getting up early, lets me do it at my pace for tee time @ 7:30-8:15. I notice lots of people out early, walking. Its always a beautiful morning in The Villages

In bed by 10:00 or 11:00 PM and up around 5:00 AM. Just never seem to need much sleep.

Late to bed, early to rise. Have to slow the mind down before I can even consider sleep. Four to five hours a night (sometimes less, no more than 5 unless I'm ill), a 15-minute nap in the day if I have the time. This has worked for me my entire life.

Default Natural body time

I spent 32 years having to be at school by 7:00 a.m. and the last five years got home around 7:00 p.m.

Since moving to The Villages I have found my natural bedtime is around 12:30 A.M. and my natural wake up time is 9:00 a.m.

Hubby is pretty good about letting me sleep until then as I can be a grumpy bear if awakened before. He gets up really early two days a week to work and golf (5:45 a.m. and 6:15 a.m.). Other days he walks the dog and looks at the computer until I get up.

Bless his heart!
