Default Employment for 21 Year Old Living in TV

Our son, who's 21, is going to live with us for a year or so while he completes his Associate Degree. I'm wondering if anybody has any advice (or leads...heheh) regarding finding a job in or near TV? Since most of his class work is online, he could even consider full-time work. He'll be doing the usual to try and find work. I'm just looking for any advice you might be able to offer.

And please respect my request to limit posts to employment advice. I'd rather not clutter the thread with a debate on the merits of a young person living here. It's a done deal, it's temporary, and there is no great mystery or trauma involved.

Our son was with us for 6 months. Worked for Sonny's and Mallory CC. Not great, but he is out of here and on his way again.

I'm wishing him luck in finding a job, but thought living with you is against the deed restrictions, lets hope a neighbor doesn't report you.

As long as a child is 19 years or older, there is no restriction!!

As for jobs, look in the Daily Sun each day. Best of luck to him!

Have him check the many assisted living facilities in the area if he could handle that type of work. Just met a very nice young man that graduated from the Charter School and worked part time well in high school at Mission Oaks on 301. He is not there full time - I think they have a pretty good turnover so any of these facilities might be hiring.
Good luck - been there done that and he is now applying to school to become a Physician's Assistant.

The poster asked for replies to employment only. Oldtimeman, I am wondering why you could not respect that. Please refer back to your deed restrictions. Her son can live here and actually obtain a non owner residentID. Our 19 year old is a college student and is applying for non owner resident ID. She is allowed to live here

If he's the entrepreneurial sort and is needing some flexibility in his hours, he might try starting his own little service business -- yardwork, cleaning out garages/attics, hauling trash, etc. Lots of physical tasks a 21-year old can do that -- speaking only for my own aged back -- older people don't necessarily want to.

Default Ready for this..........................................

Have him apply to every air conditioning place in a ten/twenty mile radius. Learn the business of repairing air conditioners and he will have a job for life. If he's honest and good he can do it part time/full time. He can always fix his own house in the future. WIN,WIN, SITUATION!
