Default Chantal

Right now it is too early to know exactly where she will go after about 72 hours from now ...... but things could get interesting by this weekend.

Their appears to be little danger of Chantal blowing up into anything major .... but suggest that you keep an eye on her.

Absolutely!

Right now we are still living in So. Fl. so ALWAYS keep an eye on these things.

Have some items in my little "hurricane closet" to help weather the storm (if it comes).

Learned from Wilma - no power for 9 days. YUCH !

We could use some rain so long as it doesn't flood.

You in Tamarac this weekend? I'm at my home in Melbourne this week. Don't look too good.

I've been in Fla for a very long time, mostly S. Fla. and have learned that when they are that far away nobody knows where they will go.

Been in Fla 50+ years and closely followed the development / tracks of hurricanes for 40 years (they have a direct impact on my fav recreational activity) and as a general rule I agree with you.

However ..... the model runs for 2pm today tightened up CONSIDERABLY from 11am.

I've been in Florida, mostly S. FL, for 60 years. Never met a hurricane I liked.

Yep. coming up next week to close on the house.
No set date yet on an actual move.

Hopefully just a TS - some rain and some wind. Much better than a hurricane!

Stay safe AND dry (outside - not inside).

I moved to Fla in 1953 at age 10. Now that they are using models in recent years they are getting much better in predicting the paths. Funny, European model is usually the most accurate. They admit that they are a long way from accurately predicting intensity. For some reason some storms can rapidly grow stronger as Andrew did.
