Default Men's Day - Priority Membership questions

The "ole boy" is a 2 handicap golfer but will NOT play on Men's Day....I think
that it is such a WASTE, to have a game like that and not play but he insists
that he enjoys practicing at the range as much as playing...He thinks that
being a Priority Member in order to play Men's Day, is totally unfair and good starting times should not be limited to players based on what they pay... He talks to friends who play men's day and they insist that there are a lot of sand-*******, along with a few that are mathematically challenged that play men's day....I've told him that Priority Membership is a great thing for the
golfer that plays at least twice a week and he should take advantage
of this....We have heard rumors that the Priority membership is a thing of the
past....Anyone else have opinions about this!

Priority Membership benefits those members who often compete the most.
Speaking strictly about golf membership (did not do the add on pools) I wasted about $800.00 a year. I started playing on men's day but two or three people obnoxious behavior and/ or the suspected sandbagging just turned me off. I played championship three times a week.

However based on the four tier priority unless the people you normally golf with have priority membership you lose juice. Much of the time I was the only one in the group with priority. So that means four members playing together, three members playing together and two members playing together trump the group I was playing with. to exacerbate the issue if the two members had guests they also trumped my group. In this scheme it seems priority guest trump residents who have invested heavily in buying a home here plus amenities, taxes, etc.

Some residents often go off campus to play in prime season and will only play in TV when the rates are at their lowest. My entire neighbor goes off campus from October through May finding great courses with competitive rates and a meal tossed in . finally if it is a single priority it does not cover the spouse's trial fees on executive courses that's about $100 extra

My Beef is ; We had a vigorus Men's day at Terra Del Sol until the powers to be within the golf division made a conscious and inten tional effort to destroy that Mens day activity. The guys love the shotgun start, this was cancelled without reason. What was lost was the social activity of the men all being at the golf course at the same time. It was great!!! Also a negative impact was to the restaurant, with about 140 guys all showing up for a 7:28 tee time the restaurant was serving a lot of breakfasts. Many Men's Day golfers went to the Gold Division off to express their desire to return to the shotgun start along with a few other suggestions they thout would improve the Men's Day. T.B. of GMS the golf course managing company refused the requests without consideration. As expected, Men's dfay at TDS, Hacendia and Orange Blossom soon was reduced to nothing. Along with the destruction of Men's Day, a side effect was the loss of a great many priority memberships. In the same vein, I cannot understand why the requirement to be a priority golfer remained in effect as the participation in Men's Day at TDS popped like a rock with at times there being only 4 to 8 golfers registered for TDS Men's Day. Very Sad !!!!
