Default Golf cart gate in historic side

Just read in POA newsletter that Leesburg Regional Medical Center is paying to put in a golf cart gate with reader where your ID card will be needed to access passing through to go toward Lowe's and to come back in to The Villages. One of the Developer's contractors will be doing the work. No date given for installation. Not sure if I missed this posting so sorry if redundant.

The wall would have been better. Predict the gate will be struck down more that it will properly operate. PS Who hands out the ID cards for this gate and to whom are they handed out?

You might be able to use the same card you use on all other gates. That’s just a wild *** guess on my part.

From the POA newsletter -

"It was announced that a Villages ID card reader will be used at the gate and that there will not be a push button option."

That's the only way non TV people will be kept out unless they drive thru it.

Leesburg Regional Medical Center is part of the Central Florida Health Alliance. The Villages, Sharon Morse Hospital is the other part.

If you don't have a gate pass for your GC you can go buy one. I think mine was $10.00. Well worth it.

I find the solution to my liking, but sometimes I am mightily surprised what upsets other people.
