Default House burglary in Sanibel

Today was the second house burglary in Sanibel in six months. Both times in the mid-day. Both times the front door kicked in. Just like what you see on the news from Orlando.
Read your Daily sun Thursday and see if it is even mentioned. Might watch local news also. There were three Sheriff cars there.
Stay tuned!

May I ask what street it was, and where was the first one?

Break-in today was on Twisted Oak ... I think it was the 7th house in from the street and which backs up to Bonifay parking lot.

The one a few months back was on Vanilla Leaf ... on the north side more or less in the middle.

I saw the sheriff there today.
Does it seem odd to anyone else that this is the exact same neighborhood which both robberies occurred?

Makes you wonder if the culprit lives nearby. Anyone have their kids living with them with a drug problem?

The intruder or intruders had the tools needed for what they wanted inside the house. This WAS NOT someone' s neighbor kids.
Any doubts - call the Sheriff's Office.
Things Changing!

I don't doubt you. Some folks take in adult children in their forties and fifties who have had a long string of bad stuff goin' on.

Many police reports pertaining to The Villages pertain to adult children who have failed to become independent for a number of reasons, not good ones or understandable ones.

I am so glad we have had a first hand report from the person who was the victim in this burglary and she says that no adult kids who need drug money live nearby and it is obviously someone very adept and skilled at breaking and entering. VERY SCARY indeed..

I wish everyone had surveillance cameras all around their homes.
