Default Fresh Oranges to pick for Christmas

Mother Nature's Christmas presents.....about 70 full sized oranges on my little hybrid orange tree, sweet and ready to pick.

I live in the Jacksonville FL area, about 2 hours 15 northeast....but PM me if you will be in the area!

p.s. If you drive around TV, I'm sure you will see lots of ready-to-pick oranges, limes, lemons and grapefruits (if the owners are nice!)

I am jealous. I hope there are still lots around when we get to TV in another 10 days or so.

I just had to peel a nice juicy, store bought Minneola Tangelo to satisfy my craving for oranges. Unfortunately the don't grow up our way..................too darned cold!

Default Would love some fresh fruit

If anyone would like to share their fruit from their trees I would love some oranges and/or grapefruits. We have both trees in our yard, however last year something, we think birds, ate all of the little buds off and this year they didn't produce anything. So this January we will net them so the little creatures can't eat all of our buds!! By the way, they were the tastiest pieces of fruit I've ever had!

This coming season, I would suggest you fertilize the trees with citrus fruit fertilizer. Chances are that you had "bud drop" and that the birds did not eat buds from your tree.

I had a bumper crop of lemons and key limes from my trees and got lots of juice for cheesecakes and pies - and gave quite a bit of juice away to TOTV members.
