I attended a fund raiser at "The Happy Horse Farm". It was well attended, with plenty of volunteer staff and a dozen or so horses. The area is clean and easy to get around. I asked about group rides. They can only accommodate five riders. They truck the horses to the Ocala Forest. The Blue Moon Ranch seems a more convenient location and more accommodating to groups.

I'm still interested and will go out in front and lead. (I don't believe in leading from behind). The only day to ride is Tuesdays. If the interest is still out there, I'll set a day.

Sorry all. I had every intention of putting a trail ride together at the time I first posted this, but, a bout of pneumonia has had me sidelined for a while. Now happily recovered, I will do the research I promised and will post the options and we'll get a group together. From the response I've gotten, I suspect we have more than 5 interested in going. I've got a call into Cactus Jacks - I'll see what they have to offer
