we are getting together on May 18 to help a single lady friend get her patio villa painted....we could use some more volunteers especially guys who can reach the tops of the walls without going up and down a ladder... and then we will have a pot luck party for all the volunteers who paint cooked by those who cannot paint for various reasons....this is an experiment in practicing our mission to help each other out when needed so if you can help please pm KateRogers and get on the work crew or the cook list...thanks!

What a wonderful thing to do for follow Villager! Supporting each other is such an admirable deed. Thank you Kate for organizing this and Chachacha to follow up with PR. Painting and potluck party will be fun! I love to help if I am there. Unfortunately my visit to TV starts May 2 for a week first. If I enjoy it and making some friends or acquaintances, I will stay another week. I will probably be back to VA by May 18 and too bad I will miss the Paint Party, "a Pay Forward" organized by the "unclub".

I hope I will get to meet some of you during my vacation visit! Will there be any activities from this group during in the next 2 weeks? Have Fun and enjoy feel good about helping the lady and the beautiful rooms you help paint.

Plans for the painting party - sponsored by the 'Unclub's' Pay It Forward mission of support for fellow 'Single Villagers' - is coming together, but we could always use more painters. Our goal is to get it done in one day and given our speed these days...well, you get the idea. If you're single and you would like to join the 'Unclub' PM either Dianne (Chachacha) or me and we'll add you to our mailing list.

we have changed the pot luck to a pizza party since the walls will be wet and things will probably be out of order after a day of painting...still need volunteers, the more the merrier! is anyone particularly good at taping?

we are all so proud of ourselves as the entire living/dining area, kitchen and hall are now two lovely light colors and the darkness of the home is gone...photos may be posted on facebook i have some green hair and am aching but the feeling of helping someone who REALLY showed her appreciation is wonderful....and thank you to a special friend who donated $100 for paint (he doesn't even live here) and to katie who brought both breakfast and pizza!
painting homes is not the "mission" of the Unclub but once in a while we can do a little extra for each other!
