Default Singles options

Can someone some up the singles clubs in TV? Where and when? I'm 59, still unpacking, and looking to connect.

there are lots of old threads on this topic...at your age you would definitely want to join the single baby boomers, which has over 500 members...look in the rec news under singles and you will find at least three or four good options....welcome and good luck!

Cha -

Lots have changes - the single baby boomer are just baby boomer...may be a possibility....I'm not sure the groups that are sill active. Kaybees and the other single kinda bars aren't my natural home. I'm far from a gamer. Is there a place for sanity and connection. I'm housebroken. Fairly amusing. Way too smart. And true to my soul.

there is definitely a Single Baby Boomers apart from the normal club...there is sumter singles and the villages singles. there is a group which meets a couple of fridays a month for singles discussions...all list their activities the week before in the daily sun's recreation news segment which comes out every thursday and which can be picked up at any of the rec centers....there are also some singles dating sites such as Plenty of Fish which give one a chance to meet possible friends. you can come to the mardi gras party on the 31st and start by meeting a few singles there! i think there is also a group for younger people who live here with their parents! you could also attend any of the free dance lessons as there are always a few singles there who hope for a partner, of both sexes.....i am sure an imaginative young man as yourself will eventually develop a circle of great buddies to help you enjoy your new life here! i have heard that the college of learning is offering a course How to Love Being Single, which obviously should be full of other singles good luck!

that's a great post! wish i had a printer! thank you! and enjoy your visit here! did the salespeople mention my pet peeve, that a single homeowner does not get a partner pass for activities and cannot get guest passes for anyone they might meet in the tri-county area? makes it very difficult to date anyone in ocala, leesburg, etc...new home buyers should mention this as a drawback to enjoying the amenities here. those of us who want to express our displeasure can fill out a yellow suggestion form for the community improvement council at the major rec centers... i am sure a solution can be found.

Thx...when I'm sure I'm bacteria free (c-diff ... a gift from a hospital I never needed to go to) I will attend. Cha - you are an inspiration and anything I can do to shake up the Morse chain - count me in. Not that I hate them..though politically we differ...still, single folks need options...and love should not be restricted by covenants. This is not about games or gains...it's about connections without needless restrictions. On the downside, I can be be arrogant and esoteric. On the upside, I am good at pointing out the cost of ignorant policies in a humorous and somewhat brutal way
. Dumb is dumb and silence is agreement. Consider me a comrade and direct me - limit me....and when needed, unleash me. -- Gary

Thank you for the additional info, ChaChaCha. I definitely will inquire about options for single homeowners. I don't know the drill at the Villages yet, but my hope is that their is a strong presence of singles involved in the homeowner's association. With the growing number of singles moving into the Villages, their concerns definitely should be addressed. Maybe a Singles Homeowners Subcommittee is the answer. Can you tell I'm from the D.C. metro area ? Maggie
