A part timer is a Pollywog if you are from England and a Tadpole if you are not.

I still maintain a summer home in New Hampshire, mainly because my family would go ballistic if I sold the place. But, in all honesty the summers are just too hot for me here. Chachacha insists that I would eventually get use to the sweltering summer weather, but I'm afraid I'd become an air-conditioned hermit, with an electric bill high enough to choke a horse - where ever does that expression come from anyway?

Since I only spend two months at the lake, my friends here always keep in touch and keep me in the loop, so I don't have to start all over again when I get back. Since, many villages go back and forth and many do a lot of traveling in the summer, I think many snowbirds still feel connected because the friends they have made here are still close when they return. Another Village phenomenon!

If you are here all but 2 months in the summer, you are not a snowbird.
Final answer.

I love it here and I wouldn't mind the heat. But 7 months on the Chesapeake Bay is hard to beat!
